Importance of Lead and Domain assessors

Delivering Diplomas

CIEA highlight the importance of Lead and Domain assessors in the successful delivery and assessment of the Diploma qualification.

On 18th March 2010, more than 150 educators, practitioners and learners attended the 6th Delivering Diplomas conference in Birmingham.

The CIEA were invited to manage the diploma assessment workshop which attracted over 60 delegates who were keen to hear from the leading experts from the CIEA, QCDA, EDI, EOA as well as a Chartered Educational Assessor and Diploma trainer.

Speakers at the all-day event included QCDAs Diploma Director Teresa Bergin who talked about 'the Diploma: where we are now'. Students who are working towards the Diploma also talked about how much they were enjoying it.

CIEA Chief Executive, David Wright said "Assessment is a key part to the successful delivery of the Diploma qualification and we will continue to work closely with local authorities, schools, colleges and teachers to ensure the assessments they make are reliable, accurate and fit-for-purpose"
