Ann's SENCO role
The focus of Ann's work is ensuring that the needs of pupils with special needs are met. She uses a variety of techniques in order to determine the most effective strategies of ensuring that pupils make progress.
Her role is to manage and develop the school's resources to screen pupils as they enter the school, identify their individual needs, and ensure that the work done to meet them is planned, monitored and evaluated, so that pupils progress. It also requires her to manage a large team of staff, liaise with parents, local schools agencies, and provide advice, support and training to school staff. She also loves her teaching role!
